Also with the Kirk replacement head they give you the extra knob to replace the Manfrotto panning knob.

It looks great and hope to try it out soon. I will have to save up for the Kirk long plate if I find the balance is off when using my 70-200 lens. I like how there is a place for the allen key.

B&H gives free shipping for a bill over $95 and they also give the option to add the duty costs that I will pay to get it shipped to Canada (so I don’t have to deal with it). Thanks for the link, Ron.

I was using the Manfrotto head and plates at first then saw this replacement arca swiss bridge on the Kirk site. I like it a lot!

I will look into the Kirk plate. Now that you showed the screenshot of the long rail, that would work. I think it is the one that Hudson showed in the Panoramic videos.
Right now, I am using the Manfrotto 500 fluid head, Arca swiss plate, Haoge plate on top of arca swiss plate (to use at 90 degree angle). It looks like the Kirk plate might work better.

If you use the Kirk plate, it doesn’t look like you would be able to move the camera forward/backward to balance it, would you? With the Manfrotto plate, you can slide the plate forward/backward to balance your camera and loosen the knobs so it behaves more like a gimble head.
