Sorry for the delay, Martial! It’s been a busy couple of weeks. I’ve added in French subtitles to this webinar and the Effects Deep Dive and the latest Style Talk – I’ll add them in for future videos as well 🙂

Are you using an English language keyboard? If not, you may have to find the equivalents for your keyboard layout.

Worked through all the things you showed on the webinar with my own images and feel more confident and competent with the program. Thank you Dylan.

So, I stoped the video right there and didn’t go any forder. But thank you anyway.

Cordialement

Hello Dylan, I am far from having understood everything, because there is no subtitle in French. This is not the first time that I note it and it is always without answer from your part! not have an answer from you, because I pay to have ON, without taking full advantage of it. Cordially

As I notice that in this *recording* of the actual recent broadcast webinar, there has not been included the following your introduction to ON1 Photo Raw Sw GUI Q&A session from viewers same night.

Now, I hads not been totally connected to the Zoom admission to the webinar, but was only using the supplied direct browserlink – and as such I was not right of able to make any direct comments on the spot, so to say.

But, mind you, following none the less the broadcast from start to end, I cannot help feeling an obligation to comment on a moment during the Q&A session where you are trying to showcase two ways to make a dublicate of editions to a raw file achievable through a right click; Version and Duplicate; but when asked the difference after performing both on the same file, do not seem to be able to disclose that.

Well, to me at least, it seemed rather a mystery when a moment later showcasing – based on a Q whether, what happens in comparison to doing it in a Windows Explorer or Mac Finder window, when you choose delete within a ON1 programme – you totally overlooked it standing there in black and white: a warning notice, that if you clicked OK for deleting a file *you should be aware that any VERSIONS would be deleted with that file!

So there you have it (also to the one placing the Q), that at least one difference (since I am quite convinced even without trying, that neither a simple copy nor duplicate of a file inside of an ON1 programme will show similar behaviour, i.e. being deleted together with the file they were copied/duplicated from) with a *version* is this particular behaviour. 🙂

I have besides heard saying, that a version should only be complied – and thus take up less space than its original file – of a reference of the editions and modifications made to the original; I guess a little like off line file editing in Lightroom functions (but I’m only guessing!)

But now, since this is the case with any versions, the prime question would be: if you *recover* a formerly deleted raw-file with any attached versions from within your pc’s Trash(folder), will *the versions also reappear* together with the rawfile??!

Any experience out there, please feel free to comment.
