Our Generative Eraser has received a significant boost in both ease of use and functionality.

Here’s what’s changed:

Retry Option on Generate: The Generate button now includes a Retry option, making it easier than ever to refine your edits. After painting over an object you want to remove, press Generate. If the result isn’t what you hoped for, simply hit Retry to generate new options. With each Retry, you can go back through previous results using the undo feature, allowing you to choose your favorite look.
New Design for the Generate Button: The Generate button is now larger and clearly labeled, enhancing its visibility and ease of access.
Cancel Option Added: Sometimes, you may want to cancel an edit without saving. Now, you have a cancel button that lets you stop the process at any time without committing the changes.
More Accurate Removals: We’ve refined the underlying technology to reduce instances where unintended objects like people, animals, or vehicles might appear in place of the item you’re erasing. This should happen less often, but if it does, the Retry option is there to help.
- Tip: For best results, use the Generative Eraser on large or complex objects. For smaller areas, the Perfect Eraser is typically faster, more efficient, and uses less memory.
Content Moderation Adjustments: We’ve adjusted the content moderation dialogue so that it appears less often, especially when it involves non-NSFW yet distorted images that don’t meet quality standards. Note, however, that if your photo includes NSFW content or attempts to generate it, the moderation prompt will still appear, as this is a requirement for generative AI licensing.

How to Use the Borders Filter: In this video, I’m going to show you how to use the borders filter in ON1 Photo RAW to enhance your photos. We’ll start by downloading custom borders from the Creative Library and importing them into the software. Once we’ve got our borders, I’ll guide you through applying them by heading to the Effects tab, where we can tweak things like blend mode, opacity, tone, and color. I’ll also show you how to adjust the size of the border, fit your image inside it, and even rotate or flip it if needed.
